My Negotiated Major Project, the final module of my degree, provided me with the opportunity to focus on the skills which I learnt during my three years at university. As a result of challenging my design decisions, and exploring my skillset, I was able to produce a body of work which supports my portfolio.

I decided to base my project on a book that I had recently read. The Man Who Didn't Call is a romantic novel, which follows the relationship between the two main characters, Eddie and Sarah.

My design process began by drawing up a timeline of the key events within the plot, as well as creating a character tree, which allowed me to understand the relationship between the characters in greater detail.

Focusing on Eddie's house and The Crown Inn, I was able to explore the design for these studio sets after scouting exterior locations.
